Electronic Records and Signature Consent

Consumer-facing consent

By checking the box and selecting “Continue to electronic signature,” you consent to receive, review, sign, and retain the specified proposal and any related agreement records electronically. You agree that your electronic signature, initials, click, and other electronic actions may have the same legal effect as a handwritten signature to the extent permitted by applicable law. You are not agreeing to any terms that are not contained in the document you review.

Before signing, you may ask the contractor identified in the document for a paper copy, withdraw consent to electronic records for future transactions, or ask about hardware/software requirements by contacting that contractor at the contact information in the proposal. Withdrawing consent does not automatically invalidate a signature already given. Pivorta provides the software workflow but is not the contractor and cannot alter the contractor’s agreement or determine its legal enforceability.

To access and retain electronic records, you need an internet-connected device, a current web browser capable of viewing PDFs, an active email address, and a way to download or print the records. You should download or print the final signed document after completion.

What becomes binding

An approval, “reviewed” state, selection, or presentation view is not by itself a binding contractor agreement. A document becomes binding, if at all, only when the identified contracting parties intend to be bound, the final document identifies them and contains the required terms/notices, and the applicable signing/acceptance process is completed under applicable law.
